Casey's 8th Birthday

Yes, he's finally 8! We're so proud of him. He had a great lunch with some of his guy friends and then we had a 4-hour prayer/worship service (which his parents couldn't bring themselves to sit through! Elders of a church :)) and then we went out clubbing after that. It was a strange experience going from one extreme to another, but it was an adventure, like most things that have to do with Casey.

Birthday trip to California

Casey wanted to go to California for his 8th birthday, so we did! Kim and Brent were so hospitable and we enjoyed getting to visit with them and Marci and the Strombacks. What fun to have friends who live in such a cool place.

Valentine's Day

We got to hang out all day on Valentine's Day. It was so nice. We shopped at Central Market together and had sushi and gelato for lunch. Casey made a great dinner for me and my mom and we got to eat on our china and use our silver (since we have only 3 placesettings, that doesn't happen often). We still love each other on our 8th Valentine's Day together :)
