Happy Half Birthday

Sweet Baby Jett is 6 months old! He's so fun these days. I wrote him a letter telling him some things we've learned about him in his first half a year... Funny to think about. He is a character and we love his spunk and his crazy hair :)

And the last photo before he fell face forward off the chair onto the floor. End of photo opp. Again. Man, I'm going to get fast enough to catch him one of these days... Poor guy. Thankfully the chair is not 6 inches off the ground and he's falling onto carpet plus rug.

Fall Photos

Jett loves his first fall: the pumpkins, the leaves, the cool weather, being outside. He tasted a few leaves on his fall photo shoot... He wasn't a big fan, but he'd probably try them again :)

He did like the pumpkin his Honey gave him!

And his thumb is always tasty...

Here he's watching his Daddy drive away in a big truck. I think he's wondering why he doesn't get to go. Um, maybe because you cry any time you get in the car, sweet baby face!?!
Get a load of his dimples. Yum.

Jett's Baby Dedication

We dedicated Jett to Jesus at church surrounded by our precious family and friends. Afterwards, we celebrated the occasion at Honey and Tatu's house. We had a fabulous and full day... magical, really. We are so blessed to have this little guy and we can't wait to see what God has for him in the days and years ahead.

Jen and Ronna are very important ladies in Jett's life. We couldn't do it without them!

Honey did an amazing job. Jett was very well celebrated and all his friends were very full of yummy food :)

Here, Grammy is taking care of Honey's new dog, Baxter. He's a labradoodle and he's super cute.

Uncle Jeff put a bandana on Jett's head and Betsy thought it was pretty funny.

Jade and Jett both really like apples - aren't they cute sharing.

Jett loves playing this game with his daddy:

Fun, Fast Cars and Food

Jett found the car he wants when he turns 16... He's saving his pennies already - ha ha.

Before Casey left for Norman, Oklahoma with Jen, Leah and Jared to see U2 in concert, we had lunch with the gang and Grammy. She gave Jett soy bean shells and chicken. He's digging it! We were sad we didn't get to see U2, but we had a fun time at home, didn't we Jett?! :)

So we decided it was probably time to get serious about giving him solid food. Who could resist that face, anyway?!

Funny little man...

Sweet Times, Sweet Friends

This is how little man naps during the day. Just wanted to document that sweet angel face.

We got to have our new friend, Emily, and her friend, Pei, over for dinner. It was so fun! These girls are so cute and fun and we are so happy to get to know them better. They are going to the fair today (the last day) and I can't wait to hear what they think!

You can't really tell from the picture, but he definitely would have made the part had he chosen to audition for the part of Dopey in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves :)

Sweet Adelaide spent a good portion of her evening and much of the next morning helping her Daddy and Uncle Casey work on her new car. Here she's sporting my sweater and repeatedly sounding the deer call. If they come running, I'm sure Casey and Randy will be happy to skin any on the back porch that happen to get hit by cars.

We got to share a little lunch with the Griffins and Jett sat in a high chair - isn't he such a big boy?!

Adelaide loves that lemon! What a face...

We are so excited about this. If you need a little pick-me-up, I think this just might do the trick...

Tricks

So, Mr. Jett discovered a new trick with his tongue - he likes to stick it out on one side. I took 65 pictures to try to capture it, but he's so wiggly, they're all blurry. Here are a few:

We went to the Hauns' house to celebrate our sweet Nanny who turned 79! We had a great time with our family. The boys :)

Aunt Holly bouncing Jett (after Tatu aired it up for us!)

Beau was so sweet to help Nanny open her gifts.

Randy and Tara told us we needed to take a picture/video of Jett crying so we could have it later on. Right now, it just makes us so sad. I can't even post the video - it would bring you to tears, I promise! Look at that little face :(

Jett is getting better and better at helping me with household chores. Here he's helping me make the bed:

Here are some more attempts at self portraits - ha ha. Still haven't convinced Casey to take pictures of us.

Jett's telling me a secret. Not sure what it was but I smiled and nodded like I did.

Can't believe he's smiling. This is a scary face on his mom!
I walked into the garage to get the dog food and he followed me into the action. He is really interested in those dogs (and their bowls) these days. So cute!

Fall is in the Air

Jett still like bouncing on that exercise ball. Sorry that you had to see Casey's lovely legs :)

We took Jett on his first State Fair of Texas outing, which was a complete success! He loved walking around outside all day and watching all the goings-on. We went with my mom and met my sister, Kaleb, Sam and Sam's aunt (who was staying with him while his mom was in Hawaii with David). Jett did so well, we almost went again... but we didn't make it for a second round - sorry Hauns :(.

This is Casey eating friend butter balls, trying not to drip the butter on Jett's head. Casey also tried fried peanut butter, jelly and banana sandwich, fried peaches and cream, corny dog, french fries and fried shrimp dog. Wow! So wrong... Poor Jetty!
