First Christmas Tree

After the Zakaryans left, we needed something happy, so we decided to find Jett's first Christmas tree. It was cold, so we bundled up (the hat is the one Jett wore in the hospital when he was born - it finally fits). We went to Home Depot in Casey's truck and found the perfect tree. We'll post some more pictures when it's all decorated.

Merry Christmas Season!

The Zakaryans Visit

There are no words to describe the amount of cuteness there is when these two boys are together. And pictures do not capture it either... but I'm going to try :)

The Zakaryans have family in Fort Worth that they traveled to be with on Thanksgiving and we got them for 24 hours at the end of their stay... YAY!! It's so fun to have boys only one week apart. We just love all the Zakaryans - that's all there is to it. Thanks for coming, friends. Y'all come back now, ya hear?

Thankful

We have so much to be thankful for. We had a great day with the Nicholas clan on Thanksgiving Day... I didn't even get my camera out the next day for the Haun family Thanksgiving :( We had fun that day, too, even if I forgot to document it properly. We love our families and count them among our sweetest blessings...

Andrew's 25th birthday was on Thanksgiving. Love you, Buddy...

Eating In

We've been eating at home in November and we've had the privilege of having lots of our sweet friends join us. Unfortunately, I haven't been good about taking pictures... Here are a few, though. We love eating with people we love :)

The Moodys came for dinner and baby Delaney has gotten so big! Jett was putting the moves on her. Watch out for those younger women, Jett - she's only 4 months old.

Aren't those cheeks simply scrumptious?! So sweet falling asleep on her Daddy's shoulder.

Delaney's Mama is so fun! Jetty loved flirting with her, too. Kyle really made him giggle.

What a happy night!

The Petersens came in all matching outfits so I made them pose for a picture. Aren't they so cute?! We've watched those girls grow up from babies and they are precious. They loved on Jett and kept him very enthralled with all their activities. Yay!

I'm going to get better about taking pictures of everyone - I promise! Thanks for coming over, y'all.

Puppy Love

Yep. He really doesn't have much choice...

Tess loves because he often has food in, on, or around him.

Kobe loves him because Kobe loves everybody... too forcefully, I'm afraid. Picture 3-legged bull in china cabinet.

Bix loves him in the most meek and gentle way.

Jade loves him because we do.
And Jett loves to watch the dogs play outside, running around, barking, chasing. He wants in on it, but he's just not sure how he's going to get in the thick of things. In the meantime, he's thankful for some entertainment :)

Staring, Screaming, Swinging and Scooting

We are loving life after Jett's ear infection is gone!! Woo Hoo!! He's so happy now... He's still wants mama all the time, but he's much happier, in general.

This is what Jett looks like when Casey feeds him:

This is what he looks like when he's crying (usually after we make him be on his stomach for 15 seconds, poor baby). He doesn't know what to do with his hands so they just squirm all around his little distraught face :(

This is how I have to clean the house - funny! Needless to say, it's not as clean as it once was.

This is Jett's crazy do:

This is Jett's new swing that he likes to swing in before his nap times. Can you say sleepy?

We have to dust mop frequently in our house (imagine - with four dogs and a cat) and Jett decided that the dust mop is something he'd like to chase. Sorry for the bumpy ride - I haven't mastered being the sweeper and the videographer at the same time!

No Mo Moto

It's true. We've decided to sell the motorcycle... Although, Casey's been dragging his feet on posting it on Craig's list for some reason :) It's been a good bike and we needed to document Jett on it, so he would know what cool parents he had.

Frisco Parade

We get great seats at the Frisco Parade because of the location of Casey's parents' house. And, of course, following the parade, we get to enjoy "Frito Chili Pie" and apple, pumpkin, pecan, and chocolate pies for dessert. Um, YUM! This was Jett's first parade - and he started off great! One of the big rigs honked its horn and it was all downhill after that. We had to go back to Honey and Tatu's house and eat and take a nap, so we missed most of it. Oh well... there's always next year :)
Holly, Betsy, Tatu and Tracy enjoying the wonderful food in Honey's kitchen
Aunt Jen joined us for her first Frisco Parade - we hope it lived up to all she had heard about it!
Brady is so big and Jett really loves to watch his cousins playing. And catch an occasional shoulder ride.
Tatu and Honey (and Baxter) at the party after the party :)
The boys hanging out on the back of the truck drinking (root)beer. Ah! So cute...
Happy Fall, everyone! Hope you get to experience a parade sometime - at least in your heart :)

Crawling's For Babies...

So, Jett REALLY likes to stand up. He can sort of tummy crawl (which he did right before I took these videos but didn't video) but he fusses profoundly! He'd much rather be doing this:

Gotcha Day

Our sweet friends - the Stubblefields - celebrate their daughter Avery's "gotcha day" and we thought that was pretty fun, so we decided to celebrate Jett's :) Mommy, Daddy and Jetty went to the park after lunch and it was so special...

You have to listen closely (we need to bring some grease for those swings!) but Jett is laughing pretty hard at his daddy...

We gotcha, Jett Remington, we really gotcha!

Forever Family

We attended our final adoption hearing. It was wonderful to be surrounded by our sweet family and to finalize everything that has been final in our hearts up to this point. Jett talked loudly throughout the duration of the proceedings (like he did at his dedication) but we were pretty impressed since he was diagnosed with an ear infection just the day before. We love this little boy and we are so honored to be his parents - forever and ever.

After the hearing, we went to Aunt Mo's house for coffee and cinnamon rolls. It was really fun to celebrate all together in her cute home. Thanks, Morgan. And thanks to our family for standing with us - love you!

Angie's Visit

We've been missing Angie - she's been super busy with work and school. But she came over for a visit and we were so happy!

Thanks for coming to hang with us, Ange. We look forward to seeing you again whenever you're free :)
