Birthday Week Continues

What a Birthday Week! We left Jett with his Honey, Tatu, Aunt Holly, Uncle Jeff and cousins and went to Babe's with friends and were delighted to not have to scarf our food down! He gave them a run for their money in the hour we were gone, but despite his protestations, they got him fed, bathed and pajamaed. And he started flirting with them the minute he was back in our arms... Thanks, y'all, for giving us the break.

The next morning, Ronna and Jen came over for breakfast and it was so fun. Jett stayed in his PJs for a long time. Why not, when you look that good in PJs? He has a cold again, so he's been alternating between whiny and snuggly - poor guy.

We've been trying to get together with our International Student Friend, Emily, since her birthday in November. It finally happened. She and her friend Leo came over for hamburgers and it was great to visit and hang out with them. Emily is the happiest, sweetest person and we are very glad to know her. Jett LOVED Leo - he was laughing at him immediately. Emily brought Jett his first bubbles and they were a big hit!

Thanks, sweet Jen, for helping us get Christmas put away before February :) We love when you are with us.

3/4 of a year

Jett is 9 months old and, man, are the red chair pictures hard to capture these days :) It is definitely a two person/one cat job. Here's a sampling of the shots I got...

He's a cutie! We are having much fun despite the teeth that are coming in and making him crankier than he usually is.

Happy Birthday To Me

I have now completed 32 full years. I was so happy to celebrate this one as a mom. Jett is my best prize this year, for sure. I had lots of other great prizes, too. He and Casey made me biscuits, I got a massage, we had lunch as a little family, we shopped and got some fun things, and we got to have dinner with both of our families - on my birthday eve and birthday :)

Thanks to everyone who made it special. I have so much to be thankful for. Looking forward to what will happen in my 33rd year...

And the Next Day

Kim's parents were so kind to take me out for my birthday to a yummy restaurant in La Jolla. The newlyweds surprised us by joining us for lunch! Yay! It was great to be able to spend a little more time with the Bride and Groom. It made leaving for the airport very hard...
Love these girls!!
Brent is all business here - not sure what about. I think he was done of the lack of parking, just like me. Come live in Texas, Z - there is never a shortage of parking here :) Asher is the cutest Bean!!
So glad we got to spend some time with Ray and Evelyn, too. Hope we get to do that again soon!
Thanks for kicking off my birthday week Big Ray style :) It was the perfect way to begin the celebrations...

Marci's Big Day

Marci and Christopher love each other and so they got married! We flew out to San Diego (La Jolla) to celebrate and be part of the festivities :) Here's sleepy Jett on the plane before the flight attendant accidentally poured oatmeal on his head... It was funny!
Here's Kim doing Marci's make-up. Isn't she beautiful. Oh, just wait until you see her in her dress!!

Marci and her mom. Such a lovely bride on such a lovely day. There was some concern about rain as the entire event was outside, but Jesus loves Marci and gave her the sunniest of days for her wedding...

Oh that smile - I just love it! So does Chris ;)
Amazing flowers...
The beautifullest bride ever!
Love my friend.
Love Schmecky, too! It was so good to be with her.
Marci's cute sisters-in-law (Brianne and Melissa)
And her niece and nephew (Bella and Diego)
Dana and I were in charge of programs and guest book, so here end my wedding photos. But I'm pretty proud that I got as many as I did. Congratulations, Bub! So happy for you...

Cooking, Cruising, Chilling

Grammy is very good about giving Jett cooking utensils to play with. He says, "I'm ready to make omelettes, Dad. Let me at 'em"

Who needs a manly-colored Jeep when you have a cutie like Adelaide riding in the front seat with you?!

Here's the man sharing Chick-fil-A with Daddy at the mall. No high chair required! He's so big :)

Good Times

I'm amazed at how fast the time goes. But I've purposed to focus on enjoying each moment and each day instead of bemoaning how my baby is not so little anymore! So... Here he is crawling like a champ. We never thought we'd see the day, since he liked standing so much, but he has conceded that crawling is an acceptable means of transportation and is REALLY FAST - surprise!

Angie came to hang out with us one evening and we had a good time playing together in Jett's room.

These two had the best morning hair - I just had to document it! Jett has also joined the Casey Haun fan club and has transferred his whining for one person from me to Dad :) He loves it!

This is our dear friend (and Jett's future piano teacher, if we can get him on the waiting list early enough), Mae. I miss worshiping with her so much! She's amazing. And while I know she misses her family and friends in Singapore, we are very grateful God has her here in this season :)
Ah, life is good. Times are good. And while not everything seems to flow like I want it to, I am a very thankful girl.

Betsy Turns Two

We got to celebrate Betsy's second birthday at Honey and Tatu's house! It was so much fun because we love spending time with our family. Betsy and her pigtails are too cute! She is the newest member of the Casey Haun fan club (although, Beau remains the residing president). She tells her mom that she is "Casey's Princess" :)

Christmas at Honey and Tatu's

Happy New Year! Merry Christmas! We love our time at the Hauns' house... Look at those kids in matching pajamas :)

We had fun times, played games, ate lots of food, and opened lots of gifts. Our hearts (and our cars) are full as we head back home, finally finished with our Christmas celebrations. Thanks, Honey and Tatu, for all the ways you made Jett's first Christmas a hit!
