10 Months

We have to be very very very fast these days to capture a picture of Jett in his red chair looking the tiniest bit happy... Most of the time this is what I get:

Love you, little man! So proud of you. Love waking up to your smiley face every morning. Can't wait for all the adventures that lay ahead.

Shrimp Fest

Casey wanted to have a Shrimp Fest with his family for his birthday celebration. So that's just what we did. It was so fun: good food, fun people, cute kids... I mean, it doesn't get much better than that. Thanks to Kaye and Ricky for all their hard work and for hosting such fun parties!

Brady was being so sweet to Jett, bouncing with him just like he likes.

Beau's very festive drink... He loves a party.

It was really the first time Jett was playing with the big kids. Betsy was so cute crawling around with her little cousin :)

We ended the evening with a bath in Honey's sink. A perfect end to a wonderful celebration...

First Sign of Spring

To celebrate Casey and Jen's birthdays, we had a lazy Saturday morning, played Super Mario Bros. and ate outside on the patio at Chipotle. Jen and I had to huddle together in the sliver of sun because it was still chilly in the shade. But Casey went all out with matching shorts/flip-flops for him and his son. Aren't they the cutest?

Party Time

My mom had a party at her house for our friends from Taiwan... and Indonesia, China, and Singapore, too :) It was so fun. Emily and her friends made us Pearl Tea, which was really yummy and Tsiao Tsia, Chen, Amy, Irene and Benjamin (our friends who were international students 20 years ago and now live here) brought Chinese candy to share.
Here are some of our friends: Ben, Peter, Emily, Jesse, Mae, Pei and me... It was really fun to hear Mandarin and I tried to figure our what the topic of conversation was when I eavesdropped :) I think I'm going to have to learn it myself!
God is so good to bring us friends from all around the world - WE LOVE THEM! How blessed we are... Mae, I had to swipe your pictures because I forgot to take any myself. I just wanted to give you credit :) We get to have a Chinese New Year's Party very soon - pictures to follow!

My Funny Valentine

Casey had to share me this year :) My little Valentine is FUNNY! Look at that face...

Look at that SnaggleTooth... He's got the teeth on either side of it growing in now, so he won't look like this for long. Good thing Aunt Jen caught it on film :)

Casey, I'm still your valentine... Don't worry, my Love!

Snow Day 2

Day 2 of snow: It's stopped falling, but that hasn't stopped us from playing in it and eating snow ice cream (YUM!). Here are the boys in front of our house...

Kobe is a true snow dog. So cute!

Little man wasn't crazy about all that cold stuff... He's pretty cute, though :)

Snow Day 1

Yay for 12 inches of snow in one day in Dallas! We headed over to Honey and Tatu's house for a snow day celebration. Casey, Brady, Beau and Betsy built an amazing snowman. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture because I was feeding Jett at the completion of it... Below: Casey and Beau getting started.
In the living room by a warm fire :)
Holly's favorite spot...
Rusty and Ricky shootin' the bull.
We had such a magical day. Thanks to Honey for feeding us and putting up with us - we stayed way past our welcome!

Holly's 31!

We love you, Aunt Holly... Honey made delicious Spaghetti and Meatballs and we had fun visiting and sitting by the fire.

She doesn't look 31, does she? ;)

This is a random shot thrown in to embarrass Jett in years to come. Hee hee.

Happy Birthday, Holly!

Burgers, Bouncing and Bowl

We got to have a spontaneous Saturday dinner with Jackie, Greg and Chase - so fun! We love having friends that live close by! Mooyah was crazy crowded and YUMMY that night.
Is Chase not the cutest, smiliest guy you've ever seen?!

Jett was loving the french fries. I'm pretty sure he ate half of my order...

The next day was the Super Bowl and we had a very low key party at home. Check out these cute boys! I watched them about as much as I watched the game...

Helicopters and Popcorn

Casey got a RC helicopter for Christmas, which he delights in flying around our house, despite his inability to control the pesty thing (believe me, I've had it attack me several times). This has not stopped Jett from his fascination. Or the dogs from their incessant barking :)

My sweet husband has an amazing habit. As you may know, he LOVES popcorn and eats it quite regularly. He particularly likes to save the parts of the popped corn with no kernel attached, or "whities" as he calls them. He bites off the whities and keeps them in his hot little hand until he's finished with the entire bowl. He's so sweet - he always wants to share with me, but I'm never tempted! Well, you'll be glad to know, he's found someone to share his whities with. DON'T worry - they completely melt on his tongue, no chance of choking...
