Kaleb's Birthday

My nephew, Kaleb, just turned 11. We had a swimming party at my mom's house to celebrate and it was fun. Casey and I were exhausted afterward... I can't remember swimming that much for that long in awhile. We love Kaleb and are so proud of him.

And we like his ice cream cake!

Beautifuls' Retreat

Each year, 3 (beautiful) high school girlfriends and I get together for a retreat. We had a wonderful time this year doing what we always do: eating, talking, lounging in PJs, laughing, eating and talking. And that was only the first day... the second was much the same. And while I was so proud of myself for having my camera on me, I reverted to my old ways of not actually pointing, clicking, shooting and capturing the events on my camera. So I'll steal Jackie's photo :) Love you girls. Y'all are the best! Here's to twenty more years and beyond...

JJ and Jacquelyn

Can I just say that I love these two? We have been friends with them for almost all of our married life and we can't get enough of them. For awhile, we got out of the habit of our monthly late night Sundays, but we're getting back into the swing of things and we are happy about it. Casey is showing them funny youtube videos...

Nicole and Jason

Casey and I are so happy to have met the Joneses. We try to keep up with them constantly. They are originally from California, and while Nicole misses living there, we're thankful to have sweet, fun friends to share dinner adventures with and who are in the same season of life.

Here's the sky Jason is trying to capture on camera above... Cool, huh?

Chipa's Birthday

For those of you who don't know, Cipriano "Chipa" Vazquez is the backbone of Growing Green. He was one of Casey's groomsman and he's a great friend. Casey had a birthday party for him at the yard. I enjoyed (I used the term lightly) my very first entire Corona, and only because it was 5 o'clock in the afternoon, a blistering 106 degrees and it was the only beverage available. That's how you have parties at Growing Green! Here are a few photos:

Chipa, Stacy and baby Marisol.

The guys. I have a hard time learning their names because they all go by nicknames like "Ouichi" and "Cheras" and I confess, I get confused.

Casey "Jefe" Haun (in his uniform - the In-N-Out T) and the guys.
